Dr. Chad Capps attended Texas A&M University in College Station, and received a Bachelor of Science. He continued his education at Baylor College of Dentistry and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After dental school, Dr. Capps joined a general practice in Richardson, TX. He spent several years in practice, with a focus on aesthetic and restorative dentistry, before returning to Baylor for his residency in orthodontics. During his residency, Dr. Capps obtained a Master of Science as well as a certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Capps is actively involved in his profession and has a passion for advancing the practice of orthodontics. He was honored in 2011 as the New Dentist of the Year, an award given by his peers in the Dallas County Dental Society. He also won an international award and was recognized at the Orthodontic World Congress for his research on the effects of orthodontic expansion. Dr. Capps is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and maintains a position on the adjunct faculty of the orthodontic department at Baylor.
Dr. Capps grew up in Crandall, TX. His family has lived in north Texas for more than six generations. His local roots run very deep, which served as one of the principal reasons for his decision to join our practice. He loves serving his patients and cherishes the opportunity to improve their smiles and oral health. Dr. Capps and his wife Heather are active in the local community and their church. They love to be outdoors with their son Colton. Dr. Capps enjoys skiing, hiking, fly fishing, inland surfing, and training for triathlons.
